Chapter IV Overworld
Chapter IV Overworld is the track that plays while traversing the Overworld from Chapter 4 onwards. It was composed by Andrew Allanson and produced by Jose Alfaro.[1] It uses the motif of Puzzle Pieces. It was featured on the YIIK: A Postmodern RPG Official Soundtrack (funnily enough, appearing well before Chapter III Overworld on the tracklist.)
The song was originally shared on SoundCloud back in 2014, and was actually meant to be the theme for Chapter 1's Overworld. Andrew said the track was influenced by composers Antonín Dvořák, Ennio Morricone, and "...perhaps some Shostakovich too." Chrono Trigger's "Wind Scene", which is used as an overworld theme in that game, was also referenced in the track. The opening plucks of the Chapter IV Overworld song were stated to be a direct reference to Wind Scene.[2]
