Break Away "Michael's Theme"
Break Away, also known as "Michael's Theme," is a song about Michael. It was composed by Andrew Allanson, with a vocal performance by Mika Maruyama. The lyrics were written by Niko Tsakalakos. It's motif is heard throughout the YIIK Soundtrack, such as Creepy Evening. Andrew made the song right before making Little Eyes.[1] The lyrics were referenced in I.V's intro sequence, as well as a teaser for I.V.
One way to interpret the song is that it's from the perspective of Michael from Alex's original reality. The "you" mentioned could Alex's sister, Allison. After a breakup of sorts, Michael has a desire to reconnect but is unable to, as they have left the reality.
It plays as the Overworld theme for Chapter 2, and is the only overworld song that doesn't say as such in the title.
