Jeffery is an obscure character in the YIIK universe. He is a parallel Alex, with blonde hair and a yellow plaid shirt. He was first conceptualized back in 2014, back when the game was still known as "Project Y2K."
Since Jeffery is blonde, he may have been an early version of Rory, but this is purely speculative. In Y2K II, he often fights alongside Alex in Mt. ONISM, which creates similar imagery of the red-haired "bad brother" and blonde-haired "good brother."

In the game's first ever mockup screenshots, Jeffery can be seen in the background.
In the prototype's files, a party member portrait of Jeffery can be found, implying he was going to be a playable character.
In the Essentia's Mind Dungeon, an NPC named Jeffery can be found, warning Alex of the darkness. Since Jeffery is a parallel Alex, they share the same name, and both have green eyes, it's very likely this is meant to be the same character, but disfigured to be completely unrecognizable. Also morbidly, in the Ultima Ending he appears as one of the dead bodies that have been slain by Proto Ultima Alex.
In Y2K II, he appears as a fightable enemy in Mt. ONISM, however in battle it just refers to him as "Alex", and he has blue eyes rather than green. He is functionally similar to Alex as an enemy, but uses The Crooked Man Karta.

- In the Ackk Shop, an embroidered t-shirt featuring Jeffery once existed, but was removed sometime in late 2024.
- Jeffery has green eyes in a few of his appearances. This may be a notable detail, as a character in the Factory Hotel warns of a man with green eyes.
- In the prototype battle portrait, his eyes are brown. In Y2K II, his eyes are blue.
