Sammy Pak's Theme

From ONISM1999
(Redirected from Sammy's Theme)

Sammy Pak's Theme plays when first meeting Sammy in the Factory Hotel, as well as during conversations related to her. It was composed by Calum Bowen. Its motif is used in a few other songs, such as KNN and MFAR - Sammy's Theme -Mistaken Identities Remix-.

It was featured on the YIIK: A Postmodern RPG Official Soundtrack and YIIK (Greatest Hits Vol.2).

Earlier Version[edit | edit source]

A theme for Sammy was originally written by Tony Manfredonia, but lead composer Andrew Allanson felt that it did fit with how they wanted Sammy to be perceived. Instead, he had Calum Bowen create the current version. Andrew strongly desired to have another composer do her theme, but now doesn't remember specifically why.[1]

The song features a more spooky feel compared to the calm, relaxing track Calum Bowen made.

Despite being meant to be removed, the song still plays during a conversation with Rory at the water tower.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The old version of the song is labelled as "NotsAMMYSthEMEdONTuSEthIS".
  • Andrew said in 2019 that alongside Carry On, Sammy's Theme was one of his personal favorite tracks from the game.[2]
